Perhapps too big to be useable?

20cm long is only 1cm shorter than the short edge of a sheet of A4 paper, perhapps there's something which could be done with the drill and tracks, maybe shorten the whole thing by removing one or two of those ribbed sections?

Well, Hellebore were supposed to be huge. Keep in mind you could stuff a company of guard in those things.
