Hi guys, I came across a model I picked up in a collection of items a while back but now I'm kinda curious about it. Its a perfectly formed pint size thunderhawk, smaller than a super heavy but with the same general shape and style of the larger (normal) version and seems to be in two parts, wings and main body. Previously I was only aware of the flying brick, the current SG one and forgeworlds one, do I have some sort of middle ground between the first two? My google fu is weak because I can't find a singe picture of it. I can probably take one if it'll help. Does anybody know what I'm referring to? |

No idea when it came out. |

Yeah, I remember there being a model released after the thunderbrick but before the current model. I think it was released late-ish in the Titan Legions era, and was fairly quickly superseded by the current E40k-era model, so it wasn't available for very long and is probably fairly uncommon. |

Pics!! There was a TL era one that I barely remember. Mainly because I had a regular opponent who was a nut for Space Monkeys and he foamed at the mouth about the bricks. I think it released after they came out with the LE Thunderhawk kit. |

It came out roughly 2/3's of the way through second edition, after as someone pointed out, Titan Legions was released. I've got a few, don't like them though, they are relegated to background duties. |

Yes, the Thunderbrick came out for SM2. Then the little Thunderhawk in question came like TRC said, part way thru SM2 before TL. It was fairly common. And was the only real Thunderhawk around until the release of E40K bigger Thunderhawk ... |

I was thinking of using mine for an eventual Inquisition force carrier - a deceptively smaller yet potent version of the STC design. |

For those that dont know what we're discussing ![]() I figured it was probably quite an unloved model, I take it theres no point sticking it on ebay so I might as well try and find some use for it. Thanks for putting my mind at rest guys |

I gave my two to Black Legion. But I do like them actually. Far to small compared to Marauder and T-Bolt thou. |

I bought one back at the time and half painted in Space Wolf colours. Not sure if I still have it anywhere anymore, can't remember seeing it in years and years. For funsies I'd love to see a side by side photo of both this and the Forge World Thunderhawk if anyone has both and a willingness to photo. It's got to be less than half the size I'd think. |

it's almost half the size of the SG games one, I reckon FW would be 3-4 times as big |

Hehe. YEah. What makes this mini interesting is that it is the first version of the current Thunderhawk design. GW made a metal 40k version of this model (not more than a handfull ever made IIRC) that was later used as the basis for the E40k version. |
