i just nabbed an imperator titan off ebay for pretty cheap. i currently have an imperator that is slightly damaged and would make a good candidate for a warmonger conversion. im looking for insight on what i need for the conversion.

i know im gonna need some hydra turrets for the spires, and ill prolly use 40k hunter killer missiles for the missle arm, as well as a 40k radar dish, but what does the vengenece cannon look like? what else am i missing?

If this can help:

Maybe 2 40K heavy lascannons could be a nice vengeance cannon. You'll probably need a small flier too (called a lisander or something like that ?) and something for the weapons on each side of the head.

Question is why would you make an already awful looking model look worse? :) (I think that model comes second to the 2nd ed vindicator in terms of poorness.)

Isn't that a tad harsh? Agreed that the original Warmonger is a pretty poor model, but why would a scratch build be any worse? If anything I think you could only improve the design by making it yourself.

Ah, you see thats a different matter - a scrath built upgrade makes the Imperitator look great as we all know :)

I disagree actually; that's a fabulously executed conversion and paintjob, but personally I prefer the look of the normal Imperator - it's my favourite of all the epic titan models! (I like the newer style W40k FW Mars titans but detest the Lucius ones)

The basic pose Imperator is a bit static and the worky bits on the legs could be a little better, but it's wonderfully imposing and gothic. What is it you dislike about it Chris?

PM sent re: Warmonger bits.

A stock imperator given some love and attention can look fantastic  :;): :

The vengeance cannon is basically two volcano cannons strapped together. AT volcano cannons might look good for this imo..

A lot of it, but the worse is the city on the shoulders. As L4's one shows get rid of that and it becomes a passable though plain big robot.

I think tht might be it, it just looked like a big robot from any scale so they added bits to try and make it look 6mm and failed, making it look silly instead (and in constant danger of toppling backwards).

Imperators always looked like the plastic model, as far back as the artwork in Adeptus Titanicus, IIRC.

Go on, someone surprise me with a 1st edition picture, I'm sure I have all of them on organic memory file, though I would be interested if any errors have crept into my file system.

I think they have rules against doing that sort of thing on ebay...  :sus:

I'm pretty happy with the model itself and I also have been looking at doinga Warmonger conversion.  I picked up my Imperator on ebay also, already painted and with some conversion to it, for about $35.
