Firstly, my apologies for the appalling image quality in the pictures that follow, my camera struggles to pick out the definition between lots of small shiny bits of white plastic at this size.

Anyway, there has been some concern on the future of tau in epic post FW, so i thought id have a mess about, here are the results. This is just a test, as i don’t actually have access to any tau models to work from, just been looking at pics online (think my ones legs look a tad long in the shins and one of the guns is wrong).

Nice job on that, difficult to do at that scale. I think your reference material is off though, crisis suits have only three toes on the front and no "heel"

Use a lighter backdrop (probably not white, that'd create some real snow-blindness), reduce the exposure on your camera, throw a filter over your light source, etc. etc...  :yes:

I think your reference material is off though, crisis suits have only three toes on the front and no "heel" Thanks for pointing this out, the heels have now been cut off :) . My fault for initially using FW pics for the back of the toros but then moving onto GW store pics for the rest, and the GW store minis i looked at had no pics from the back.

I don’t plan on doing any other suits ATM, although i have made a pair of broadside rail guns. It wont be painted for a while, got all my paints packed up for now as im moving out of halls this Wednesday.

Thanks for the photography tips Vermis, i shall give em a  go next time :agree:

This looks really awesome!!

In comparison with the original by FW I think I'd need to look very closely to distinguish them.
Such a tutorial as with the dreadnoughts would be nice, even though I think I have enough battlesuits.
