Hi all, here is my nth attempt at completing an Epic army. I'm starting with the one for which I have most models painted: a great one-size-fits-all Imperial army, with titans, knights, guard, the very short squatachans, Inquisition, and a supporting cast of marines from a variety of chapters. It will not be overly-correct, and will reflect the Epic Space Marine period more closely that the EA one. But what the heck, lets see if it works. Oh, and there's a sloop too. See here for more details ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

At long last the 3rd edition of the Lead Painters' League is all over bar the last round of votes. Pleased to say that although I lost round 2, the 6mm models I entered generated a lot of interest. Now I can get onto this. Progress so far: 1 Rhino + Thudd gun for the Angels of Fire; 1 Predator for the same; and in progress, one Thunderhawk for the Legio Fausta. Incidentally, my Imperial forces will include a motley collection of Marines (these chaps never seem to deploy on numbers greater than a couple of hundred anyway)which gives me leeway for my lack of attention. Chapters will include: Angels of Fire (one of the main forces) Legio Fausta (the other main force) and, as supporting cast: Iron Hands Ultramarines Black Templars Polar Warriors Red Giants Pointy Sticks Imperial Guard: Squatachans (my Squats, of course) 10th Kanin Foder Army Ad Mech: Legio Mechanatos and friends Knights: Ares Guard Others: Inquisitors and assorted rabble Imperial Navy Adeptus Custodes (Judge Krambil in command) Allies: Nemausa craftworld Eldar Forchetta craftworld Eldar Blood Axes (yes, I know, VERY old school) Tau soldiers of fortune |

Thanks guys. L-4, it IS a monitor hashed up from half a ship. Anyone guess what the hull was originally? ![]() Justiniel, for now I'm having fun messing around - it'll soon be troop time, and I might add someone - the problem is that this little beastie is as out of scale as a Thunderhawk from Epic 40k... ah well.. Completely off topic - here's a small pile of stuff I did for the Lead Painters' League: ![]() |

Nope, sorry L-4. It's a somewhat old piece of technology anyway, and probably on the way out: it's part of a thermostat from an electric water heater. ![]() |
