Some WIP Orgyn for my IG Rgts ...                                                       Aussie Bush Hat ( for Tas !!), a Beret and the blokes behind them with the white bricks on their heads when painted up will look like Mohawks (hopefully) ...                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     Jungle Flop Hat &  Ranger Patrol Cap ...(Ah ... memories) ...     Some Long Asian(or Klingon!) Scalplocks       I've got 4 detachments of Ogryn ... so I thought I'd "jazz" a few of them up !   :agree:  :vD

Lovely work dude!

I hate to be critical (especially as TacComms is such a supportive forum) but it would be a tragedy of those wicked hats were marred by the mould lines on some of the ogryns.  Just thought I should say before you get undercoating!

Not sure, but I always felt they'd fit in nicely with the Catachans sor some reason. At least I've got a company worth of the bruts on standby for my own Catachan army when the day comes that I actually get to work on that. Not sure if it is just something I've made up or if I actually read about that connection somwhere sometime...in a galaxy far away...

My Catachan-based "Deathworld Veterans" army list has Ogryn Platoons as support formations.

Hoping to have them show up in "EPIC: Hive War"... and those Ogryn look itching for a playtest!  *laugh*

Many Thanks Boyz !  Yes, I did remove the mold lines this am. I saw them before ... but just had not go to it yet, as they are WIP. Made the Beret a little smaller too(I had not worn a beret since '79!). Also added a head scarf (we called them "Drive On Rags") to one and a short scalp lock on another. I've got total of 16 now. All these and other standard Ogryn will go in a 6 stand detachment. This detachment will be with my IG Light Infantry Jungle Bn, 3/187 INF. And attached to my Catachans and DRM Jungle Fighters on future ops.  Hey How many Ogryn can fit in Valkyrie ?  :vD   I have 3 other Ogryn Dets awaiting paint.  One will be in Desert Tan, one in Med Brn and one in Grey.                    I base my IG TO&Es(ie. Army Lists) on the old but very good SM1 system. Ogryn can be a Bn Support Det. to any IG Bn ... Or even Renegade Ogryn can be in some ORK Warbands !! :oo:  One of my IG Ogryn will fill in for those in a Blood Axe Warband. :oops:  And also an IG Infantry det. maybe part of a Blood Axe Warband as Mercs ! :sus: One of my IG units will fill in as that mob too(as covert IG SF posing as Mercs to start trouble within the Clans !)!  8v)

Thanks D/S ! Much appreciated !   I've 4 Detachments of 6 Stands(Fire Tms) each ...   So That's 120 of these Boyz ! :sus:   Thats a lot of Butt kick'n Abhumans ! :oops:  On one Detachment I upgraded their weapon too ...  And on the Desert Ogryn, I may add a Kheffiah and a Fez of two ... :))  They'll be the SOS ... Special Ogryn Service ! :vD
