Greetings all, Putting together a Chaos army and I already have a ton of the old models (though I made myself a Plague Tower and a Chaos Altar), but a lot of new stuff has made it into the chaos lists and I am wondering how to get/proxy the Hellfire Cannon. Also, how do I get my hands on Otterman's wonderful Defilers? Any help greatly appreciated. |

Cannon of Khorne is an obvious proxy, though not so suitable if you want one more for one of the other three powers - then you have to be more creative (not a bad thing - it is chaos after all!). I advise contacting the Otter directly and he will let you know how many 'fish' he would like for his 'crabs'. |

I like fish...mackerel especially; smoked. Though i haven't eaten them for several years... What Glyn said; cannon of Khorne. Or you could try converting an epic scale hellfire inspired by the Warhammer model? What artillery exists for chaos in Warmaster? R> |

Cannon of Khorne or doomblaster seem to be the most common - the cannons are far cheaper+easier to get hold of though. |

What artillery exists for chaos in Warmaster? None. The closest is the cannons in the dwarf and empire armies - already considered them but they are a little big. Getting hold of Cannons of khorne is no easy task (currently 1 on eBay - and my Doomblasters are Contagion Towers). Best chance would be to convert them, then - will check the bits box. Thanks for the suggestions. |

YEah, I'd tend to think that Warmaster Empire and dwarf artillery are the easiest to get hold of while still being fairly easy to convert. |

OT: I've never tried; naturally my offerings were vegetarian 'fish' too (though I think one of them escaped and hid amongst my crabs). I plunder the Warmaster ranges for various epic models too, but I don't believe there ever was a Hellfire, or any Warmaster Chaos artillery. I briefly looked at Warmaster Empire artillery before concluding it really didn't look the part. The doomblaster is another good Khorne suggestion, I'm still unsure of what things I can proxy for my own Tzeentch/Slaanesh themed army though. |

The cannon aren't great proxies but I think the Empire Mortars would be fairly good. |

Glyn: I will be posting up my Silver Tower proxies - tau gun drones. Take the guns, glue them together and glue vertically on top of the base unit. Voila. Cheap and plenty in supply at bits sites. I'll post some pics asap D. |

Mk II Vindicators with some conversion work are what I'm planning to use. That particular vindi model is pretty featureless aside from the ridiculous barrel and make a great base for a conversion. |
