Here is my first attempt at a Death Guard retinue. I wanted them the 'white' colour rather than typical Nurgle-type colours (but not pristine white), so I went for a grey/green colour instead (mixed Codex Grey and Catachan Green to make them 'murky' and 'old moldy white'). The entire retinue took about 3 hours (including modelling).
The only mistakes are mixing Bestial Brown with the PVA glue for the base, instead of Bleached Bone - so inbetween the sand looks too dark (this will be rectified on others). And I just noticed that I forgot to paint the Nurgle Symbol I modelled onto the icon... ooops!

Comments appreciated.

So mixing up your 1st edition plastics? Not just using the death guard infantry from it?

Personally I never found the "Death Guard" plastic marines to be particularly Death Guardish. The only ones that seemed to fit the bill were the Thousand Sons IMO. For a mutated look befitting Chaos I always felt that the mixed stands looks a lot better.

Nice job :)

Yes, I much prefer the mixed stands. Also, I dont see the need to only use 1 in 5 models from the sprue as I am yet to grow a money tree

I like the armor color you've  chosen very much, it really fits the bill.
I think the red might be a bit much for the missile launchers, however.
It works fine as an accent color for the tanks and the other, smaller weapons, but the missile launchers seem to be overpowering the marines and becoming the focus of the stands.
Perhaps if the bases were darker?

Looking good  If it were me I’d be tempted to give the whole lot (models and bases) a thin (one part wash to three+ parts water) brown wash all over, it’d help naturally unify the colours and mute the bright reds and greens a bit, while still showing the painting through. Completely up to you and how you want them to look though.
