So after lurking the boards for a while and getting pumped up for starting epic I finally got a package in the mail this morning full of little soldiers. I thought I'd spend tonight throwing together and painting the start of a tactical formation: ![]() ![]() The quartered scheme wasn't as hard to pull off as I thought it would be and painting 6mm is surprisingly easy. |

Looks great! Much better than my Red Scorpions, AKA the 'dull grey marines'. |

Thanks for the replies guys, wasn't sure this sort of noob project was going to generate any interest. Thanks very much steve, it was your stuff and mark's that started me down this 6mm path. I was very inspired by your nids and iron warriors and equally so by mark's eldar and kraytonians (i think... the seeds lizard guys). I'm laying down some more paint on the second sticks worth of infantry and the rest of the rhinos now ![]() |

Great to have the support of the big guys of the forum, I really like the size and feel of TacComm. Just for background info I'm another Australian gamer with melbourne as my home. I got interested through Onyx and Mark Logue's excellent army diaries over on wargamerau, an australian wargaming forum. Anyway the update. Here's what I achieved last night. I'm hoping to round out this tac formation today and make a move on a dev formation as well time permitting. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm looking to get 1500ish playable for this weekend. Nothing fancy: Bikes Devastators Tacticals + Commander Tacticals + Commander Land Raiders |

Cool Novamarines! My marine fleet for BFG will be Novamarines, though I kept the quartered theme I took some liberties with it as well for the whole look. |
