Been impressed and inspired by so many other people's work that I thought I would post a few of my pics.

Here are a few of my vehicles.

And now a few of my infantry.

I actually have all my minis packed up for the big move to Hawai'i next week, though my wife refused to let me bring them on as my carry on luggage so they will ship by mail after we find an apartment. I just hope that my pack job has protected them during their time in the hands of the United States Postal Service!!! (My boys are literally walking glory road in their army transports)

Yeah I love my decals too. But other than that the army looks really dark and brooding. I hope your army arrives oversees alright.

Oooh, old school - but in a way i can't quite pin down!
I really like the black bases actually; they go a long way in adding to that brooding thang!

Impressive! It takes some patience to paint up that horde of infantry to this standard! Youve also managed to get a consistent army feel to the whole thing. Did you paint it all in one go? Good job anyhow!  :agree:

I acutally paint my infantry a platoon at a time, usually sitting in front of a TV or inbetween grading papers. Gives me something to look forward to when I am grading papers from a freshman class. (Also keeps me sane!) My goal is to model my Guard on a planetary PDF with lots and lots of battalions with 4 companies per battlion. I have always loved just having tons and tons of infantry.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words.

Maybe use this rationale with your wife...

"baby..I've spent more time painting these toys then I spend time with you. Do YOU want to be mailed to Hawai'i?"

...be prepared to dodgoe bullets though.

Okay, someone's trying to get me divorced!!

I am already on thin water since this is the third time I have come back to Epic. Originally started when I was in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany in 1992. I was always looking for a hobby that thrived and produced new minis on a regular basis...so I really do not have to say more about why I gave it up to other times I guess. But, I really never enjoyed any other hobby like I do Epic and now that I have found this forum I see a lively and exciting future for Epic. Thanks to all here :)

I was inspired by WWI and WWII navy paint schemes that were designed to confuse the enemy about the direction the ship was travelling. While I have just a regular gray scheme for my regular size vehicles I decided that the super heavies' only chance at camo was to confuse the enemy on their direction of travel.

I believe they called it "dazzle"? The camo for navy ships that was meant to break up the outline of the cruiser??

the french had some really nice ones.
Lots of jagged lines etc.

Yes, that is a good idea using the "dazzel" pattern camo for the SHT ...  And I started Epic in '90 just before I got out of the Army !  :D
