THanks Sagan !!  :))  Yes, my eyes are hanging in there ... I take my glasses off to paint. I can see better close up without them !!  :sus:  :vD  8v)

Thanks Mark, we decided back with SM1 that we wouldn't flock our bases.  We feel we like the look of almost chess pieces ...  But once I get all my infantry painted, which is a lot with SM, IG, Squats, Eldar, Chaos, Orks, 'Nids, Tau, DRM, E/W, GZG NAC(I'm using for Slammers!), etc ... who knows ...  :))  8v)

Very nice Guard, I like the dark grey urban style.  :agree:

Thanks W/H ... Yes, I based this unit on the original IG color scheme - Grey ... Kind'a reminds me of WWII Germans ... :D

I do sometimes worry about your obsession with camoflauge L4 but, hey DWWFY!
I DO however really like these guard :-)
Keep it up,

Thanks Mok ! :D  I wouldn't call it an obsession ... more of a predilection ... :vD   Of course based on my study of modern history and 10+ years as an Infantry officer ... I have a hard time visualizing troops in other than Tac/Camo colors ... :))  But as you said ... DWWFY ...

Impressive work as usual, L4. I always wondered why you never flock or paint your bases. Now I know! I like your reasoning.

Thanks D/S ...  And as a matter of fact, flocking Infantry bases didn't really "come into vogue", so to speak, until SM2 ...  :))   So I'm really really old school !!!   8v)

Is true...in AT days you just put them on a sand table and covered over the bare bases.  Made it hard to move the stands around though :)

Yep ... the old W/Ds of the SM1 era is full of unflocked bases like mine. Save for Titans ... Which, following their example, mine are flocked or covered with model putty, etc. ...  :D
