About eight months ago Jervis and I sat down for a talk about what possible future Epic could have. He suggested that Epic could either: a - Be supported by a small external company dedicated to 6mm models. b - Be supported by Forgeworld. I tried both angles. a - I tried to buy a licence to produce and support Epic (GW licencing weren't allowed to sell). b - I tried gathering all the best models from the web, and organising a few more to be created, and pitched to Forgeworld. Forgeworld said 'Maybe'. Yesterday I got a few more details off of Tony Cotrell & Owen Branham in a quick sit-down; They intend to do something with Epic in 'about a year'. Most probably it will be a Titan-based game. They invited me to keep sending in pictures of models, as they might be interested in purchasing them then. I've uploaded some pictures of some of the models the team put together with a little coordination from me. Some models you'll recognize, some will be entirely new to you. So without further ado, I present to you two semi-complete armies, to which Forgeworld said 'maybe'. Download Me. |

Those are sweet. But I'm not surprised about FW's response. |

There's something wrong with that document. Been using original massively large pics perhaps? |

It loads slow and erratic. And look as if it's 3.76 MB, for four pages... Epic Raiders is 20MB, with 134 pages and loads of pictures. I most often always save them first. And in Acrobat itself it's slow. |

It is indeed only 4 pages @300dpi. Try right-clicking and 'save as' instead of direct opening. |

Quote: (Hena @ 06 Apr. 2009, 15:50 ) I'd love to see epic continued further. I'd love to see those figs casted, but I think 6mm infantry from resin is quite easily breaking. So in that sense it should be done in plastic, which I don't think Forge would do. Myself am not that interested in Adeptus Titanicus XY though. Will Hayes reckons there's a rock hard (Harder than metal) new resin they could try using if they got back into Epic in a serious way. |

Maybe we will get some "true scale" titans at last. |

After what FW did with AI and the models produced for it I will give a cautionary 1 1/2 thumbs-up to the Titan-based game from FW. Imagine all the weapon options that could be made for the game. Then you have Orks, Chaos (spikey imperial bits), Eldar, Nids 09/10 could be a looong wait. D. [PS] Nice models E&C. Love the hierophant and the carnies! |

Wow, those are some great greens for Necs & Nids with some fabulous bronze bits to boot! While it's unfortunate that they were not more excited about the models you presented, it's very encouraging that FW is at least looking at producing more Epic stuff. A year away is not long at all and another AT-esque game could mean a bevy of new models. I'll keep my fingers crossed for a resin Great Gargant and some Chaos Titans. ![]() |

I am not enthused about FW support for Epic but then llimited support would be better than no support. Is there a problem with the linked document? I get error message "The file is damaged and could not be repaired." I have tried both opening the document and also saving it to my PC hard drive. Cheers James |
