Post subject:  New 40k Stormlord could be new CI!!
:sleep: I have been looking at the new Stormlord super heavy tank and thinking what a great vehicle to convert into a CI! The back deck for the troops could be a huge landing pad for aircraft. Might spend the $95 next month and start some serious kit bashing.

Dear Emperor: I would also love some epic scale Stormlords for my Imperial Guard :sleep:

It's way too big to be any kind of playing piece in Epic, though it could be made into an awesome piece of scenery.

Yup Tepoc/Sotec

I think we had a thread about the use of super heavy tanks as CI proxies a while back, listing some of the pros and (mostly) cons to doing so.
Also Vanvlak made a CI based on a Rhino a few years ago. Personally I've made my own based ona 1/72 scale Tiger tank chassis which I personally feel is a good size.

And which I'd abandoned - needs a lot of work to convert it to Epic scale, and the Rhino looks far too big to work well.

That's what I've been looking to use for a CI too. Good to know I'm on the right tracks... getit... tracks!..  :))  I said tra... Oh, never mind...  :sigh:

huhh, that was huuuuge in the book. For that one then it is too small...

I was thinking about the land carrier when I broached this topic as well. I think it will be to big to be a game piece, but what a center piece for an army :alien:

If it was the game board it would make for a nicely themed game, Guard assaulting the chaos land carrier for control, with chaos making bombing and strafing runs on the imperials...

Seeing the tracks for the CI came from the JB Models 1/76th scale M-113, why not use that as the basis for a CI?  All you'd need to do is remove the scale clues and add a turret and some side guns.  You know the wheelbase will be the right size  :vD
