Not sure about Tempestus, but there is a Tempestor. === Legio Tempestor (Storm Lords) Blue, grey, black/white check trim Forgeworld Esteban III Sources:  Armageddon3.com, Imperial Armor The way I remember it, it was an old Armorcast paintjob from when they had a GW license, but I could be mistaken.  I also seem to recall it was a mottled/camo gray carapace with blue body and legs. === Edit:  I was off a bit.  Someone on Bell of Lost Souls recreated the old Storm Lords pic with a 40K scale titan. Also, note that's a Heresy-era paint job (Eye of Horus on the logo) so that might differ from the Imperial Legio Tempestor. |

Neal, In your PDF they are listed as both a loyal and traitor legio, was there a split? |

I'm not sure. The Storm Lords are listed in the very earliest Horus Heresy background fiction as one of the titan legions that assaulted the Imperial palace on Terra and that Storm Lords paintjob is from that era. However, Legio Tempestor is definitely an imperial legion nicknamed the Storm Lords in canonical works. It's not the only contradiction with Imperial and Chaos legions of the same name. I have a note about it on the titan legion roster: Possible explanations for this include: legions which split during the Heresy, the new Orders are very tradition oriented and revived the names so as to be the “true†|

Quote: (Dave @ 05 Dec. 2008, 15:11 ) That was the legion from Titanicus by Dan Abnett right? It's also in "Mechanicum". EDIT: I think the "Legio Tempestus" is a new invention and not the same as the "Legio Tempestor" (which is also known as "Storm Lords"). Or is the name "Storm Lords" used sowhere in conjunction with it? I've only read 100 pages of "Mechanicum" so far and haven't read Titanicus. |

I was worng, there IS a hint that Tempestus might be the new name of Tempestor. In the Dramatis Personae of "Mechanicum" (and also later in the novel) the nickname of the Grand Master of the Legion (Indias Cavalerio) is "the Stormlord". |

I have to correct myself (previous post), he is not the Grand Master, but a Princeps who commands part of the Legion. |

Awesome. I've added them to my chart and i'll probably make a note over the possible Storm Lords connection. If there's any information on Legio emblems and colors for them or for Legio Invicta, please post it as well. |

Invicta in the book are gold and red....sadly, not one mention of their symbols, as I trawled specifically for that :/ Tempestus it mentions are blue and silver. Again no insignia given though. |

OK, just read both Mechanicum and Titanicus. There wasn't much color info unfortunately. Tempestus is cobalt blue. Invicta is Red, White and Gold. I don't know if he intended to but Abnett pretty matched the Firebrands color scheme for them. |
