Painting takes it's toll. But a mech inf and super heavy company are forming up nicely. |

Nice camo stripes Erik. I would like a desert IG but I just don't have the terrain for it. What type of Chimeras are you using? |

Cool camo pattern on the tanks and I like the bases you've used. -Malakai |

Ah, I see what's going on with the Chimera's. You've used Ork Battle Wagon Turrets, Ingenious! ![]() Those turrets remind me of the turrets for the Japanese Tanks/Tankettes of WWII. In many ways I think I prefer them to some of the Chimera turret variants. Like this here... sorry for mucking up your thread. |

Thanks. Indeed that's battlewagon turrets used. And it's not, technically, chimeras either, it's hellhounds. The hellhound twinbarrel turret are given to the marines rhino's, turning them into razorbacks. Volatile canisters cacn then be used for objective markers etc. |

Thanks DS. And now, after loosing, there's a few new parts up for painting: Stormtroopers, Ogryn w/Chimera, Support w/Chimera, Bombards. There's really a need for something to mop up with after the artillery has done it's job. They can break the formation, but it has to be annihilated too. |

![]() Sending in the troops to mop up is good thinking. |

![]() A bit better looking than before. And transports! ![]() What is a support platoon without a commissar to tell them what to do and transport to take them there...? ![]() Up and coming stormtroopers (DRM standard(!) infantry no less). Even if focus hit the ogryn and chimera.  ![]() |

What are you planning to do with the bases Erik? I'd love to see some of the infantry 'complete' so to speak; i find it makes all the difference! Oh; and what are the heavy weapons troopers in your support stands? Yrs, R> |

Thanks, again. ![]() I'm not sure MoK. Right now they'll be Goblin Green. Later I'll see. The heavies are the old heavies, with las cannon. |

Ah yes, the lascannon's thought so. I'll be honest though; i think goblin green will ruin them; drybrushed yellow sand might be a better choice...I still really like the concept though :-) |

I know I am probably the last person to suggest this but have you ever tried basing your units with fine sand. I did this with my Necrons and it wasn't too hard to do. It does add to the finished look for a small amount of extra effort. I use Goblin Green too and hope to flock or base them later but after seeing some of the stuff on TacComm I'm coming round to the whole basing thing... eventually. |
