Thanks for all the congrats! It is really cool being a dad. So far, I am wondering how anyone gets anything done when they have one!

So I needed a break from looking after the kid. I wanted something I could do quickly. I want something different, I want something special. So I had this niffty looking spider thing that was calling for a little paint. I call him Ziggy, the Spider from (the peoples forge of) Mars.

The pic is a little dark, but I was in a rush.

good to know, I've been debating the merits of doing that myself.

Wow, hard-core.

The getting-things-done depends upon how useful your mate is, and how well your child sleeps at night. Hopefully both of those things will go better than in my experience.

Heya, I never mentioned that the metal caster said that the styrene parts on your head sculpts were vulcanizable. Neat, huh?

Looking good Bob, it came up a treat. Long live the Peoples Forge of Mars.

Cheers
Aaron

I hesitated before painting it as a DA, but the color keeps it from being a distraction from the spider. It hurt me to do that.

Maybe I can use it as an objective...

Is good to hear the heads are all vulcanizable, I just hope they come close to measuring up to the rest of the model.

This whole thread is amazing. Totally inspirational.

I've found being a Dad is the most challenging but rewarding thing I have ever done. I hope it's all going well for you mate.

Cheers,
Steve.

Cool to see a great paint job on one of those, that sculpt's even nicer than I realised (though I'm still not entirely convinced by the design of it's hands). Your freehand and converting skills from this thread rock SilentBob, especially impressed with your Sammael!

I definitely gota get myself a dremel I've decided, I want to drill out those myself too (as well as as attempting to drill out and hyper-detail some Centaurs with crew and heavy stubbers and that). Congrats on the newborn! Hope everything's going well!

So with a few minutes of spare time I have, I finished my Landing Craft and Strike Cruiser. I am not super happy with the SC, but I doubt I will use it very often. Looking at the amount of airpower I have, Planetfall might be possible now.

Almost forgot, Here are some of my Bad Moonz.
These were done a bunch of years ago. I think they are a bit bright, so I may want to tone them down somehow.

This could be considered a 'Big' Blitz Brigade if I took them all together. Would run me about 625 points though. A whole lotta Dakka here.
