That's good; because i've started work on the devastators ;-) Will be working on the landing craft as a treat once i've done a bit more, but will be soon!
R>

Here we then: Devastators finished! I'll have to do some sort of massive round of basing when all the infantry done; it's one of those jobs i can't stand!

The Great Coloured Budgie Grit Experiment!

Well; i hate flocking and basing infantry et al in epic scale; and so in a desperate bid to make it a LITTLE easier i've embarked on an experiment

Above is a mixture of budgie grit, water, and chaos black. Tonight and for the next few days it will lay on my radiator drying out and HOPEFULLY will come out so as i can glue it straight on and drybrush it without having to paint it on the base itself...if it goes wrong then there's plenty more grit where that came from...

PS: I HATE rhino's! After painting the 20 that i've got i'm pretty sure i'll move onto the landing craft...

Right then, the landing craft is done:

From this:

to this:

Front View:

I wanted to experiment with trying to get a dirtier look on this model, especially with the engines and the metal, so once again ended up using my trusty MIG dark wash around all the pistons and engine parts; i'll be trying to get a dirtier effect on my rhino's (which i'm painting five at a time!) too. I figured that the little bronze bits on the transport arms were massive MagnaClamps so chose to use them as a detail:

Finally i was intially worried that the model didn't have enough detail on it and looked rather plain but i'm pleased enough with how it's come out, any bright ideas let me know!
Final Detail shots:

Yrs,

...I was trying to look pensive and somewhat quizzical..
.maybe it's because i'm some sort of patron saint of wargaming? Unlikely...

This any better?

Hey Mok I'll say the same thing to you as I said to my wife on our first date.

"In this angle and in this light... I can see right up your nose!"  :oo:

Feeling any stirings yet darling?..   :oo:  :))

You just can't miss with a chatup line like that. You can keep it and use it for free if you like.

So; that leaves me with two choices for my avatar:
A) Patron Saint of Wargaming
or
B)Dogs/Warheads eye View
I'll let the masses decide.
