Epic gradients on such tiny models.

Did they assemble acceptably? The sockets must be problematic at that size. Er, at least, the designer might say if he were around. Somewhere.

The sockets worked beautifully. I had some issues with the head size being a bit too small and some weakness in the attachment points for the cannons and wrists.

It's a long time between visits for me these days, but very glad I poked my browser into your thread vaaish - always so, so inspiring! Great work as ever. Your consistent output to such a level is truly impressive!

Thanks guys!

Paul, you should post up some of the other stuff you've worked on. I always like seeing what you get together.

Because these guys were pretty simple to pull off being all black, here's a couple of Raven Guard vehicles. I didn't want to add in the white patches because it made them look a bit too much like modern Iron Hands colors. I think I'll go back to Battletech and finish out my replacement mech for the Dragoons next.

Whoa. Would you mind sharing the steps to get the black through blue gradient? I have some Tau I would like to give some more depth to.

Thanks folks!

@gunslinger: You'll probably hate this but black is just solid black undecoat with a midtone layer of blue gray and a sharp highlight of white for pop. If the midtone gets too bright and it looks more gray than black, I just do some washes of solid black to tone it down.

Don't hate that at all, it sounds simple enough. I'm going to have to practice this and see if I can get something even half as polished as that.
