There are some little details here and there that remain to be fixed... and obviously the yellow looks very wierd through the camera! If you have any tips on how to make the pics better Id love to hear them (as everything I paint tends to turn out rather bright...).

Hope youll like em! Any tips on how to improve are very much welcome, as I have one more Reaver (artillery titan w 3 missle launchers) and 2 warhounds  waiting to be painted in this scheme, plus one more warhound thats almost finished. In the end I guess Im aiming for a Reaver battle group, but Im a very slow painter...

Try taking pictures without the flash, in a brighter environment.

Try taking pictures without the flash, in a brighter environment.

Use a tripod or other method of keeping the camera steady when you do that.

Thanks for those tips guys. I dug up an old support thingie for my old camera - not a tripod, more like a peg-leg (only has one leg...):

Very nice BCP. The checks on the missile must have been a pain though. Great stuff!  :agree:

Warhead: Well its not very hard really, but I missed a bit... If I feel bored some day Ill fill in the missing boxes in the pattern and maybe add some higlighting to it aswell.

It would be real nice to add a banner too, but Ive never been a good free-hand painter, so Ill probably fail miserably... Painting banners is probably the one single thing i find most difficult to do.

Did I hear someone asking for titan banners?

Try here: http://belloflostsouls.blogspot.com/2008....ve.html

This should help you out...

Gorgeous looking titans, makes me want to paint up the two old beetleback warlords that i've got. I'm curious though, how did you do the metals? mine never seem to come out that crisp and shiny.

Haarken: Go for it! The way I do the metal on these is pretty simple, but does take some time. I start with a black basecoat, then highlight that with boltgun metal, and then mithril silver. These metals are ideal for blending: To make the highlights smoother I use very watered down boltgun metal to "blur" the edge between the two shading layers - looks good on those large areas of metal on the titan. The gold colour on the inferno gun was done with burnished gold shaded with brown ink, then highlighted with burnished gold again.

For the main yellow colour it is important to spray prime the titan very carefully (important with any bright colour if you want it... well, bright!), and then basecoat with badmoon yellow. I then shade it very carefully w yellow ink, maybe w a small amount of orange ink in it. Highlight w badmoon/white.
