Post subject:  Summer Holidays, what you doing now?
I'm actually working, but I know a few people have said they haven't had time to do anything as they are studying... but now it's the summer holiday, do you have the time to finish those unfinished projects?

I started and finished a Tyranid vs Eldar battle scene and then worked on my 40K Tau Battlesuits for a bit.

But now moved on slightly and trying to build a 40K industrial piece so I can then display my models on multiple levels (trying to expand my display space upwards).

I'm thinking of doing yet another battle scene. Idea came from watching movies. I'm wanting to do a mass of orks piling onto maybe a Space Marine. So its either the mass of orks in the mid of jumping while the SM is sorta cowering backwards. Or either a pile of orks on top of each other with the SM trying to pull himself out from the mass?

But then I still got my "Stomp Fest" and "Cowboys and Indians" yet to do along with my Winged Tyrant which I was also hoping to do.

But I'm posting this because I'm wondering if Warmaster ever finished his Titan repair bay? Or if Evil and Chaos ever finish casting Drasannar's Genestealer?

So what are people planning this summer... epic wise rather than I'm planning to go to sunny spain (i wish).

Got to do up a Heresy era Luna Wolves force - Justaerin terminators with lots of foot troops supported by land raiders, rhinos and preds. Possibly a Legio Mortis titan for fun.

Just ordered them but may get some sample units painted and put up asap.

winter for us Aussies (horrible weather atm aswell :_( )
I'm currently finishing off my nids, my emperors children, possibly an onyx-inspired warmachine traitor titan legion and maybe some terrain if I get bored :tongue:

14 painting days to Britcon and an awful lot of painting left to do  :O

After that it will be my Hordes then Republican romans for WAB and ancient brits for WMA.

I'm working on a new IG army with a theme.

I've set up a rule that I'll paint up an entire 3000 point army and then shelve it and move on to something else. This is the second time I'm doing it like this and it feels very good. I bought (and scrounged from bits and dug through old boxes) everything in advance, tested various basing systems and then have done lots of preparatory work in big batches, as industrial as I can make it. For example, I knew I'll have 63 infantry bases, so I undercoated and airbrushed 63 bases in one go. Ditto for all the 300+ infantrymen (well, they did not get done in one go, but less than 20 work periods... :) )

Winter in Aussies, so that means spending more time indoors and painting  :laugh:

It's summer here so its more of get out there and enjoy the sun  :))

Summer Hols, what is this that you speak of?  :sad: Maybe I should book some work time off and just do something....other that actually excape the country.....unlikely.
Just slowly adding units/formations to my existing armies to try and get them to playable sizes, concentrating mostly on Eldar and SoB stuff recently.

Summer usually means less time painting, since I'm spending more time outdoors. However, I've managed to work on my Knights. Last night I pretty much finished three Errants and an HQ Errant. I'm about to start some Lancers, Castellans and Crusaders.

Also, I managed to talk my nephew into building some epic terrain. He has lots of experience building terrain for 40k (he used to work at a GW store and built all of their terrain) and now he's trying his hand at Epic terrain. First up is some Eldar terrain. He's going to borrow my sister's digital camera to post some pics here.

bah, working full time for half the money my last job paid! (Bloody retail)

On the positive side my Vostys are coming along well. 4000pts will be ready in a couple more months I hope. Will probably start a proper blog here. Epic gets a bot lost in the dearth of amazing 40k logs over on the seer.

Planning my next few articles for issue 8 of Firebase and thinking about what I need to develop with regards to my layout skills too!

Also working on the move to London. My rent is up on 24th of Sept, so will be around in Oct mr C+E for some serious Epic gaming (yay)

Lord I: I think that you are right and this... hol-i-day thing that the others are referring to is the part when the admin kicks in and people start talking about preparing 9 months of classes in three months... along with everything else.  :sigh:

Sculpting 6mm fantasy Orcs and of course more tanks! Always more tanks.... :vD  Not that the summer holidays help - a house full of kids is not condusive to a pleasant working atmosphere! :mad:

I'm waiting on my FW 40K stormblade.

I'm planning on creating a monster in hues of pink that will blind my opponents and clash with the blues of the plasma coils.  :vD
