hi just made my first mastiff its a "heavy loader version" with allot of backpacks next up is hardening for the green stuff and the painting

it is a metal TL2 type painted grey as first part of a camo scheme just to give the size of the mastiff its is made out of a old TL1 era reipier and some plastic and some green stuff

next one is almost finished its a "auto mortar version" next up is the #heavy bolter version" here dies two more squat thunderers.

if i had some more reapiers i would make some of the other versions

finished the basic mastiff chassis for the next two and added a mortar barrel to the mortar ver. pic will be uploaded tomorrow

THat's an interesting rule and concept ... We did have small 4 wheeled cargo carriers called M274 Mules, left over from Vietnam. When I first got to the 101 in '80. And they were used to haul our company 81mm mortars too.  So there is a precedent for something like this.  However by '81-'82 the were all out of service. Didn't hold up to air drops well either ...   And IIRC the USMC in RVN mounted a 106mm RR on the M274 or  something like it ...  So this sort of thing is not unheard of, but AFAIK there has nothing like this in the US inventory since the early '80s.

ohh yes there is the marines have just adopted a self propelled 120mm autoloading mortar with a lot of fancy  thing so what the front-man sees the mortar hits and the is a new version of the mule there is completely autonomous and can climb just about any thin check future weapons s3 and 2 on discovery channel
