Hi all
Can anyone tell me how tall FW's Epic Warhounds are?
I've got a project in mind, but need that size as a starting point.
Can anyone help?
Regards,
Reaver

I actually started measuring that line on the screen before my brain started working...
Still, I'm not sure what worries me most - that Joker's successfully messed with my head, or that E+C can apparently see inside it!

Although seriously E+C, whatever you have in mind, I'm sure you'll get it done faster than me - my Epic time allowance is pretty minimal these days.

Reaver

I want to do a Mars Pattern Warhound, and also a Chaos variant thereof, because the GW Mars Pattern Warhound sucks.

I simply assumed that great minds think alike. :D

Ok, turns out you really can see inside my head! Mars pattern warhound is what I'm planning!
I've got a plan to do a 'Tale of one sculptor' and show it step by step so everyone can watch my making mistakes...

Daren Parwood of FW says your Macharius would have been better if made with 'hard edged' components, btw. :)

He designed the 40k version, and he thought your version very nice.

Thankfully I've got a lot more stuff now - plasticard, plastic tubes and bars, metal sheets etc so hopefully I'll be able to get the hard edges right. And I've switched to ProCreate instead of GS, because it takes a sharper edge, and can be sanded.

Fingers crossed I'll have a nice, clean look to this one. No promises though - straight lines are still the toughest thing for me to sculpt!
Regards,
Reaver

Why do I have to be the serious one?  It feels like I am back a t work  :(

height: 35mm to 40mm, depends how crouched it is)

width:30mm

length: 20mm

head: 13mm long by 8mm wide by 6mm high

carapace height: 10mm (so legs are 25 to 30mm)

lower leg: 15 mm long

mid leg: 10mm long

Tigh: 9ish mm long

Waist: 10mm at widest point 5mm tall

these measurements are all rough since I can't get my ruler flat againt the parts.

Thanks Ragnarok for your seriously comprehensive list of measurements! With all those, people will find it much easier to point out all the bits I get wrong...

Now I have the measurements, I'm out of excuses and better start working on it...

Reaver

N problem.  Though I forgot the feet (too much grass)

Front to back: 17mm

length of toe: 7.5mm

Width of toe: 4mm at widest point 2mm at end

back toe: 6mm long 3.5mm wide at foot, 1.5mm wide at end.

Width of leg: 3mm (5mm for the shine guard).

**Sits back and waits for pictures**
