Hi, I'm about to start building up an Imperial Fists army and wonder if anyone has any pictures for me to look at? I did a search and found lots of dead links from 2006!

You could find some pics in the old Epic:40K rule/army books. Imperial Fist was the "official" SM chapter in the epic Edition. I have the books at home but I never scanned the pics.

bans from this site also have some nicely painted and converted Imperial Fists.

Basically it all boils down to what painting technique you prefer: The one in the E40k rulebooks was very focussed on the use of washes and drybrushing. Bans' marines are painted with blacklining technique. Question is if you want a clean or a more gritty/dirty look to your models.

Those Fists by Cthulu Gump are great. I can't quite believe that he's painted the chapter insignia on the terminators . I guess I'll have to do the same! I'll also try and track down the old rulebooks (thanks for the tip Scream) or at least some scans of the pages...

@WN: I'm after 'clean', I'm happy to take my time with this army. They'll be as close to the glorious (and ridiculous) yellow of GW's 40K Fists.

I'll be sure to share some pics (and ask for more tips) when things get going.
