Nice idea. Those broken markers turned out sweet! This blog has been really entertaining to watch, thanks.

Stunning stuff mate, the markers are great and the Jetbikes and Avatar are very cool. Like it has already been said, this is very entertaining to follow.

Cheers guys!
One more unit done.
No more painting for me tonight. I may do a couple of little things to get some units ready but I need to give myself a little break from this painting marathon.
Dark reapers with Exarch and Falcon transports. I just done the same conversion for the exarch because I couldn't think of anything else and I thought that it worked really well.
I don't know what to do about the Shining spears. All the aspect warriors I have done so far just happen to have schemes that tie in really nicely with the Ulthwe craftworld colours. I am not sure if the shining spears should go in their typical aspect colours or be converted to an Ulthwe coloured scheme. I am kind of worried they will stand out like a sore thumb if they are blue.
edit ---- now I actually know how long I take to paint a unit from the posting times. I went straight from my computer after the last post to the paint desk then posted up a picture when I painted the unit so roughly 2 hours from start to finish 4 tanks and 4 infantry. I haven't really been doing a very good job of keeping track of time. I know some things have taken me ages longer longer than I thought (mostly cleaning up the resin models and making the round bases) and some things seem to go faster than I thought.

Mark... You've outdone yourself again and again with this army.
The Broken Markers are inspired. Fantastic work mate.

A veritable painting machine, and all to a beautiful standard, makes me want to break out my Eldar again.....and make blast markers.......and....oh hell, I'll just send the lot to Mark

Cheers. I have been having fun with this army. It stops you cutting corners and deciding things will be good enough when you are painting for someone else. I have to try and emulate this attitude when painting one of my own armies now.
I definitely have to make myself some broken markers for some of my favorite armies.

I have cleared off the table now so I can work on fixing my nitro offroad remote control car so I won't be sneaking in anymore for tonight. Aside from that I want to do the shining spears next but need feedback on the colour choice.
