Hiya, Nicklas (Partisan_Nick) from Norrköping, Sweden here. I restarted Epic about a year ago thanks to Mordroten and Uven_Lord here on TacCom. I will try to blog a bit about my modelling and painting progress and see if that helps me too keep my productivity and discipline up.
Well actually I have already more or less completed a 4000+ points Steel Legion army with a somewhat soviet red army theme. Which is actually kind of the ethos for the entire Imperial Guard in the setting.
Right now I am working on updating my IG to also function as a DKOK list. Just in time for the major list overhaul that is happening of course. But the lists need revising and the Gorgons + infantry needs toning down. But I’m hoping that most of the units will remain viable.
To take the Steel legion list to DKOK-usability I first needed to paint up some 36 additional stands of infantry which are now done. I now have 60 in total.

The next step was the Gorgons. I use the models from Trouble Maker games. I really like them, and the casts where quite good and really solid hunks of metal. The one criticism is that they are a bit overly detailed (!). This is a good thing for sense of scale in general, the problem is that it´s very hard to find any space on the models for free-hand or unit markings. My subdued and “realistic” scheme therefore failed to really make them pop, but good enough…

This was my solution for unit markings (only flat surface on the model!).

Here is the current PIP of a home built Deathstrike silo. I will add some details, markings, signs and 6 mm figures.
