Jimmy will be along with that Fry "take my money" .gif any time now, I'm sure.

Purely selfishly, I'd prefer the nose of the fighter a tad shorter and the wings swept forward a little more, but that doesn't make me any less in awe at how pretty they are now.

Cheers. Well next step is ifguring out if these things are even printable. Shapeways has passed them for Frosted Ultra Detail, but there's still a number of things that could make them turn out bad. Gonna finish a few more designs before ordering prototypes in one large batch to save on shipping... Also I need to get the money to actualy afford it :p ;)

Purely for painting related sanity purposes it may make sense to make the drop pods and bombs sepreate items

A very good question indeed :) I'm currently exploring various options, so anything and nothing is possible at the moment :)

Updated the Epic Lounge with images of the newly finished Eldar army.
Apologies for the horrible formatting. The main objective is getting some images online fast though :)

Gorgeous army shots WMN, one of the top eldar armies around I reckon!

Any tips on getting it painted so quickly? My own eldar are taking forever to paint!

Having somebody paying you to do it? :D

Seriously though (although that kind of motivation certainly does help), I think the key is to simplyfy things as much as possible and break everythig down into stages. For example say "Today I paint the yellow highlights on all vehicles" and so forth. It also helps if you only have to repeat the same movement with your brush, without fiddelig about with the miniature. So, for example, paint all left sides of vehicles in one go, then all right sides etc.
It is a bit dull and repetitive, but it works really well for rank and file miniatures. Obviously you'd want to put in a lot more work for special units. Get an audiobook or some kind of show you like running in the background. Personally I got through a couple of Game of Thrones-books that way. I find it quite meditative and relaxing :)

That said, Eldar are a real PITA to paint because you want bright, sharp contrasting colors. Mistakes show up a lot easier, that with IG or Orks for instance, so I can undetstand your grief. It was for the very same reason that this army has been sitting half painted for a decade.

Sublime. Those Revenants and super heavies in particular look almost alive!

Thanks for sharing WMN :)
