I know Dremel has a bevel table and bits, other than that though I haven't seen any tools for this. And I've looked around for something like this a bit for scratch building. The smaller Flames of War bases can base 2 bike sized units pretty well however. I use Litko plywood and magnetic strips for my bases. |

I do not know of an easy way to get the bevel edges, I do mine the old fashion way and use a piece of sand paper and bevel each by hand. Laters |

I belt sander would work great for a task like that. I've used it to smooth out the edges for ceramic tiles. Fine grit sandpaper would probably be best for plasticard. |

I am not in the UK, but what I use is actually a For Sale sign from the hardware (DIY) store. I am not sure about the UK but here some of the signs are made of plastic and are just the right thickness for epic bases. Plus I can get about 100 or more bases depending on the size I need at the time and it only cost approx. $4.00 per sign. Good luck. ![]() Laters |

If you go to a good Hobby shop or Model Railway shop you can get plastic card in a variety of types. Evergreen actually make some with a tile pattern, and if you pick the right size (they're in Imperial so I'm not sure which) these can be chopped up into Epic bases with a nice neat bevel....as long as you dont mind a + through the middle ![]() I have been buying up the WHFB 20x20mm bases without the slot that come in all the plastic box sets....bit high but no muss/no fuss ![]() |

I don't think that eBay shop sells much on eBay anymore. They now have there own website: http://www.stationroadbaseboards.co.uk/ I have bought from them on ebay. plastic was a bit softer and more flexible then I hoped for (I wanted some for very large rigid bases) but it works fine for epic bases. I use .75 mm bases, as when I place my (older style) infantry and bikes on them, the infantry/bikes' own base + 0.75 mm gives exactly the same height as putting them on epic standard bases. I then smear a layer of multi-purpose Polyfilla on the base and insert the infantry, then reshape it, and sprinkle sand on top, giving a decently textured base. 0.75mm plastic really isn't worth bevelling; I just cut 20x20mm squares, and round off the edges. Might be a bit thin for making the longer bases though (Polyfilla on large areas often warps shapes as it drys). This place also seems like a good source (not tried them myself). Antinocenti's Workshop I thought there was a good sticky thread on warseer for supplies, but I seem to have misplaced the link. |

As Sap says, a good railway/hobby shop will stock plasti card. They range in different thickness, 0.25, 2.5 1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm+ My local hobby shop in the UK sells an A4 size sheet from ?1.50 to ?3 depending upon thickness ?if i remember correctly. |
