Hi All, For my 100th post (hooray for me ), I'd thought I'd try something new. ?I'll try and see if I can do a blog on a new conversion: the master of ravenwing, downscalled to epic size. ?I'd just thought of this converision yesterday, so I haven't got it all planned out yet. ?In any case, here are some pics:
I'm going to use this poor biker guy, and a prow from this BFG cobra. ?Actually, I'm gonna probably cast the cobra, 'cause I'm cheap.
Side view, showing the wheels removed. ?I've also removed the head. ?I'm planning on going with a no-helmet look.
Front view showing the left shoulder pad angled back for a more drammatic pose with the sword.
Next up is to cast the prow, and attach it to the bike. ?Then to work on the back, wings, head, cape, and sword&arm. ?I'm not sure if I should leave the bolters, or put that "open-book" like structure on top of the hood. ?Also, I'm not sure how to model the eagle. ?Green stuff I guess? ?Any ideas? ?Also, I have no idea how the back of the bike is supposed to look. ?Does anyone have any pics of the 40k version?
Thanks, CF

Great idea. Sort of completes the circle: Ravenwing jetbike used in BFG ships, BFG ship used in Epic... Just need to find some epic accessories to use on the 40k model. Looking forward to seeing how this progresses

hehe. Someone beat me in attempting to do this. I was planning to do a Ravenwing Commander after I finished my blood angels and that co-insided with the release of the new Ravenwing models.
Anyway, its looking good. Can't wait to see it complete.

Thanks V
I ended up puttting greenstuff all over the prow, to give it the correct shape. ?The BFG part acted like a scafold for the putty. ?I've done the the eagle (greenstuff), book (what's with the book anyways? ?what's the fluff on it? ?Is this guy supposed to read it as he flies? ?Seems kinda dangerous), and his sword arm. ? Next up: Sword details (hilt), possibly a beak for the eagle (it looks kinda like otterman's avatar right now ), and then I can start on the engines, wings, and guns. I can't wait to do the cape!!! Cheers, CF

Sweet I love it. Are you doing up any of the other Dark Angels characters?
