Wow, this thread is very creative. Really makes me want to get started on my Chaos stuff. The guard looks just like I picture them when I read about them, not uniform and orderly, but Chaotic.
The altars are over the top characterful and evoke a real sense of the nature of Chaos.

Yes, the idea about the cultist coven was to create a miscellaneous of characters inside, a mix of cultists figures, properly chaotic, traitor imperial guard, that for them I've used the green scheme, and a corps of rebellists. Mixed. I'll use it in the beastmens too, in lesser proportion, for give the global view of a chaotic and mixed advance when they will be in play. I'll complete the chaos land light transporters with a lot of military (in scale not chimera) tanks painted in green scheme, as minor vehicles of the imperium, only for the transport, stealed by the traitor imperial guard and move in battle. For all the traitor formation, like the 6 leman russ, I'll use I think my just painted (I've enough) from the steel legion army. Next step, the zombies!

The altars are fantastic. The cultists look great as well. Funny, how the guards' great coats suddenly look like cultist robes. I would never have guessed it.

Following, the dark realm tank, converted to chaos, in traitor imperial scheme, and a detachment of cultist mixed with looted vehicle and scratch build vehicle. The looted imperial vehicle, I've choose another company, and transport vehicle. The idea, is that this vehicle are used not in strategic war theatre; but are military vehicle used for transport troops as logistic. This, will be the difference with the war designed chimera, when we will see them in battle.























Next step, really, the zombie. Just basified.
