hmm. looks good but I'm not 100% convinced by the wings - I always expect wings to look leathery and a bit spooky. These just don't seem to do that.

Too late, should have said something last week.

I was going for lighter skin stretched tight over the bone bits.

since when has anyone paid attention to anything I say?! Even a darker purple wash around the wing bones would help. Honestly, just can't get any satisfaction as a back seat painter...

Harriot the Harridan is all done. I ended up hitting her carapace and body with one more highlight before I called it, I think they helped. I also went with yellow for the eyes to make them stand out a little more.





I'll probably mess with the rock on the base a little more (to the point where I can't properly recall what I did to it and thus be unable to recreate the effect) but that'll only take a couple of minutes.



I also went back and painted all my Warriors Bone Swords bone (go figure). It'll definitely help them stick out a little more from the broodlings and give Matt one less thing to complain about.



Actually scratch that, he'll probably complain about the bone being too bright...



Up next is a brief jaunt into the world of terrain and then I think back to the Warmaster Elves.

Besides, I'm British, complaining is hard wired into us.

I tried to tell him, repeatedly. He did not listen, which came as a surprise. The least he could do is to throw that harridan and it's subpar wings into the simple green.

You need to finish up that armless hive tyrant before you move on to the WM elves - I think he's getting hit fewer times because of his diminished size...
