Thanks! Smallish update for the day: I've finished assembling two reavers for Cal. They should be making their way to the paint station in the next week or so followed by an archer to finish out the second IS lance for battletech.

Sure, but I doubt there will be much process change from the warhounds. Had i known it was guard I'd have put a little running man on the base :)

No screaming allowed! Any screamers will be shot by my resolute Commissars. Your reavers will look nice without a doubt, but won't walk too well when I shove two infantry companies in your running gear!
Plus you don't get an extra armour save for a flash paintjob.

Flash paint jobs are so a +1 to the saving throws, check your FAQ. :P

Looking forward to drooling over the progress Vaaish.

Cheers

So what about putting a commissar running away? :)

I went ahead and put the MoTF up on cool mini. Seems to be holding pretty steady around an 8.3/8.4. I wonder if that will hold when the voting peters out around 50-60 votes. anyway, here's the link for those interested.

That is acceptable.
Because, I don't think people realize how impressive the werwolves gear is up close or how awesome vaaishs painting is up close.
The model and paintjob on the hounds are incredible! So much so that I directed most of my fire at them.
Excellent work from both gents.
Cheers
Jim

Thanks :) I have extra special plans for the last reaver. Anyway, as Cal requested, I'm putting up wip shots of the these two reavers. Right now this is after completing the metals for the structure and other bits. I still have to do the barrels of the TLD and the gold trim, but those come later after most of the detailing and the blues are finished up. Which brings me to my next phase. If all goes well I should be getting the blues painted on as well as the yellow for the head and the washes today. With an extra bit of luck I might even get the highlights done on the blue and yellow too leaving me with details and basing for next week. I tried out a few different recipes here for the bronzy goldish color on the hips.

I've got to hand it to E&C on the posability of this one. very nice, even though I slightly screwed up the leg on one of them so it doesn't quite have the feeling of weight behind it as I wanted.

Wow, they look amazing, and big, love the look of the metal mate and looking forward to seeing more of this. Any chance of a comparison shot to a Land Raider from the Blood Ravens? Love the gold on the hips, looks fantastic, how deep a foam tray do you think it will need?

You will be pleased to know that the new house has a big rumpus room that I have claimed for my gaming room. Bec thinks theses armies should be on display so I will get some glass cabinets and your work with others will be on display in the new house.

Cheers
Aaron

Thanks, that guy is huge! The land raider just shows how massive this guy is. I'm thinking that I can use 4" foam and lay them on their backs or split them at the waist for transport. This will probably be the last update for me until after tomorrow. I may get some time to get the blue fully highlighted before moving into details like insignia numbers, and other things. It might not look like a whole lot has changed since the last shot but this is the blue added in, washed with black, and touched up as well as the head ready for the final gold detailing.
