Ok,

Long ago I promised Vaaish, I would take some whole of army shots of the Imperial Fists he did for me, now that I am home I have taken the opportunity to get a few snaps. I appologise in advance for my limited photographic abilities.

Enjoy
Aaron

Why did you take a picture of a red X next to the word "Image"?

Sweet! Too bad the warhounds hadn't arrived in time to get into that pic. Kinda crazy seeing all that together too. it oddly doesn't seem to be nearly as much as it did when I was painting it up :)

You don't do things by halves, do you CAL?

Amazing. Congrats to Vaaish on the astounding paintjob, and to CAL on owning such a stunning army.

SG,

Simply put NO, I love a big army, the greatest thing about EA for me is playing with massed formations on huge tables with good friends and having a ball. I am very thankful for the great friends I have made through EA and appreciate the excellent efforts of Vaaish in creating this awesome army. I had a run against it yesterday with Eldar, i let my eldest son Lachie have a crak with them, it went toa fourth turn and a points countback, Fists by 150.

Cheers
Aaron

Ulric,

There are ten TH in the army, six TH and four THT, the others I have to build stands for. I am an Ozzy, and yes that was one of my games. It was played at my work over a couple of days. 80,000 point game, we had a ball and took everything we wanted to.

Great stuff all round.
I have to say though that the Imperial Fist army is small compared to the Iron Warriors! ;)

CMoN is a wierd thing. I don't understand how some of my stuff is scored as highly as it is...
You are a much better painter than me.
I had a similar experience to you when I first uploaded pictures of my defiler proxy (petitie crab). It were scored fairly low and it seemed by the comments that most thought it was 28mm scale. I removed the original photo, took a new one and placed a small pic in the corner of the miniature in my hand. Once uploaded it's score jumped up to the mid 8's. Go figure. I think a lot of CMoN visitors do not speak english as a first language so reading the comments may not be easy for them. A picture says a thousand words.

I love your painting and I want to see more.

Five bucks to the first guy who posts a 28mm miniature and then fakes it being 6mm.

I thought I remembered painting more of them than that!

After a bit of a break for some battletech stuff (more will be forthcoming in a few weeks) I've finished up the fist of the Blood Raven's land raiders. This batch just happened to be the helios so giant rocket launcher love is a given. :) I'm not too sure how the scheme will translate into the regular raiders since there won't be the large missile rack to break up the reds so this might change a bit as more roll off the production line. Right now the next thing on the list once it cools down is another batch of land raiders.

Sweet!

What about painting the side doors black too? That would break up the reds on standard configs.

It's not the sides that really need more breaking up :) Doing black on the side doors would end up making the front of the lascannons on the sponsons get lost since they end right in the middle of the doors. I may look into painting the raised bit that the missile launcher is currently seat on in black. Still, it could be alright with the vents on the engine being in metal.
