Last I heard, he was buying his own vacuum rig.

Not yet - Watch this space.

When it is released, it'll be with friends though.

Interesting move. Will the model have to be significantly re-designed to look different? I like the look as is and it would be a shame to have to spoil it to make it look less characteristic/distinctive, however with the current model I'm concerned that Grandma Wendy's legal department may well go after you.

There's no model like this either but that didn't stop GW legal taking action against them and closing the company that made and sold them down for infringing titan IP.

ah, but that guy was trying to sell a Titan ! that's GW intelectual property !

A large Walking Robot, which isn't sold with a GW name on its tag is a very different story.

Well. There would possibly be the need to swap the head, that is possibly too much of an homage to an existing GW model, and to wipe a few Eagle symbols here and there that may have some tie to some of Grandma production, I guess. But those are, I think, the only critical bits; possibly the smallest weapons too.

Dreamforge games put out something similar to the LWR (in 28mm scale) some years back and it was taken down rather quickly.

Tom, will separate weapons be available?

You might be right. Maybe it'll pass under the radar.

Depends if the radar coverage get as low as 6mm, it might be possible that the minimum altitude is actually somewhere around 25mm but counting on it is probably a risk. I guess it'll have quite a few modifications. I hope conversion kits will be available...

Specially as a model of that size, it's probably not going to be cheap, it would be capital for me to be able to tailor it to my taste. them. I'll take 2. No, 3. Wait !

Hum. As Dave said, "Will separate weapons be available" ? I'd like to get some of those for my bit box too...

If there's some colaborations on dimensions I'm sure other walking robot weapons would fit.
