Truly excellent Rhino! Well done!

I think a lot of voters on coolmini aren't familiar with smaller scale models and vote without reading even if you might mention it in the text.

I would have a main photo of it and then below it a second photo of it next to a W40k marine. That should make it obvious for everyone.

Vaaish,

I concur with the statements here, your talents are very much appreciated here, it is a true joy to look at the work you do, and as a customer of yours I am far beyond impressed, often speechless at the work you do.

Cheers
Aaron

Coolminiornot stopped being anything close to realistic a long time ago. Don't worry about it. :)

Yeah, i wouldn't beat myself up about CMON. Try with a 28mm in frame, most people prob only glanced and thought it was 40k scale(remember, plenty of cmon users are prob too young to have seen a epic mini) but at the end of the day its just a personality contest.

From here - I've shown your work to 2 multi-GD winners and both were blown away. One had to be convinced repeatedly that your Imp Fist tanks were 6mm ! I can only think of 3 maybe 4 6mm painters which come close to your standard (all but one on this forum) but i still think you're a nose ahead !

Yeah. You've got the prettiest 6mm I've ever seen, with the possible exception of Dave and the guy-whose-name-I-can't-remember-who-does-Dropship.

Thanks. I'm not so downcast about it as surprised since I know for a fact that model was far about a 5-6. I'd gone into it expecting that it would land around the 7.5 mark like my Warhounds with the 28mm slant and my previous IF ratings, but the rating just kept dropping. I guess I could understand a 5-6 if that was a 40k size rhino since it would have been pretty rudimentary freehand and decent highlighting but I'd labeled it pretty clearly that it was 6mm. I may post it back with a 28mm model as reference and see what happens.

In any event, the razorbacks should show up sometime tomorrow. Just have to highlight the black and mud everything.

Ok, we have razorbacks :) This is the first production set using the new methods. I think that they turned out fairly close in painting standard to the test damocles. There is a bit of contrast issue here along with a slightly different red because these were originally primed black and I went back over them with a light coat of white primer so they wouldn't end up the darker purple color of the original test. Next up I'll be doing three of the battletech mechs before the first set of blood ravens land raiders and then moving on to either more mechs or my 40k tech marine. With any luck I should have him, his servitors and a good bit of work on my last dread conversion done before the end of the year.

Outstanding work! ;)

Don't invest anything in CMON ratings. Minis get spam rated up/down & the rating scale is not defined.

Every army you're doing is amazing, when you put all of the minis together it is simply awesome.
You're the master...

P.S
Can you write down how you painted the white? Thanks

Thanks! Guthwine, go ahead and post what you've got, I'm sure they'll be fine.

Brax: The white there is actually more bone than white and it's really simple. Just an undercoat of bleached bone washed with delvan mud before highlighting the central areas with bleached bone again and a solid white highlight on the edge.

Just another echo - superb work & dont put much into Cmon.

Years ago I scored a brilliant 4.2 average with my epic Logan Grimnar & retinue. They're well below standards for today's 6mm painters such as yourself, but they're still the same models which at the time won me the Fantic Best of Show at UK Golden Demons. I stopped putting much faith in CMON's viewer's ability to read the descriptions as well as look at the pictures after that ;)

Keep up the great work - not that it means much, you are one of the standards I aspire to myself these days & your work is a constant inspiration for many of us
