I'll snap a few pics after New Year for ya :;): It IS rather small but actually closer to a realistic scale than the GW stuff. For Epic it is most suited to proxy a LV IMO.

Resculpted the snout of the WArhound. Now it looks more like some weird cross between  fly and a rather sick bulldog... :p

Also I've finished the Beastmen and the CSM command stand. Now all that is left are the CSM infantry. I really hate painting those. They're wonderfully detailed models but their size means that they stand so close together on the stand that they're almost impossible to paint properly. I should have thought about that before I glued them in place...

That fly head looked great already, and when painted I think no-one thinks it is slaanesh warhound. :)

Yes, Pics, Pics, Pics !  Love the Zep !  And the E/W APCs and Khazari Bikers are very cool ! :;):  Those are the Jan releases ?  And the Dec. were Hoplon APCs and ?   Can't wait to buy'm all !  I too have made that error in the past with gluing infantry on the base ... makes things a bit more challenging ... :)   And so what will be on the "new" CSM sprue ?   Nothing new, I suspect ?! ???

I'm waiting for CSM release a lot..
And that is true, sometimes they are just annoying to paint when glued.. but still it is usually easier than paint them separately. :D

Hehe, thanks all. I will post some pics tomorrow I promise.
I've continued work on the CSMs and also worked a little on another side project: A small Soviet themed IG force. Naturally this force will contain KV1..erh I mean Ragnaroks, T32...sorry... Chimeras and of course a bucketload of Guardsmen. All painted in winther camouflage. Also the force will feature a small conversion for a Katushka style truck (Manticore proxy of course) but I'm keeping that one under wraps for the time being.
I tried out a test scheme for the force. Man. Painting winter camo is much harder than I thought: It is easy enough to paint something white but it looks much too tidy. Try slopping on the white paint just looks..well...sloppy :p In the end I went for something in between. The trick is to paint something to look like it's been painted.. if that makes any sense. Wherter or not I was successfull I will leave for others to judge but I think this will be the way I'm going to paint the armour.

Same as the old I think. At least I am painting up one of the old spures and if Andy had anything altered I think he would have mentioned it. For obvious reasons the stuff they put on display need to be the same as what's in the box.


Regarding E/W: Yeah. January release. The December release were indeed the Hoplons as well as the War Droids.

Gondola - why stop at one? ?Such a beast could have several! A forward Command/Bridge and Artillery Spotting platform, the main gunnery deck, bomb compartments (attached directly to the hull) plus flak batteries as well. ?There should be a few batteries on the Upperworks as well to prevent MASSIVE blind spots. ?A tail gunner like a WW2 Bomber would be a nice touch too!

Thanks Comrade Nice ! IG are prefect Russkie Doppelgangers ! :;):  And I figured the CSM sprue would be the same ! :(         Yes, I remember Droids & Hoplons (IIRC these remind me of WWII German Hanomag SDKFZ. 251s).                And LT Bromhead, I mean Tas has some good suggestions there ...  (He's quit mad you know !) ??? :laugh:
