Whoa, that is a little pricey.

I know... but it looks sooo good! :-X
If ever i would go for the White Strong & Flexible (Polished) option which is the cheapest and would also match the material used for my Monolith prints.

I'm sure there must be a way to get some kind of suitably nasty robot proxy at a better price than that.

^ I'd rather use some 28mm scale abomination and say that it's a crypt stalker or whatever Titan size thing they would have built for Epic had they made official models for Crons.

I hear ya Stormwind.

The design of the Shapeways Abattoir is very nicely executed and i wouldn't mind paying for it as a one off birthday/christmas-in-one present to myself.

On the other hand always've been a fan of the old Tomb Stalker concept which lends it self to be realised witht a 40k Tomb Spyder.
User Jodrell already done a proof of concept and i can see myself trying it as well. Should be great fun, especially with the latest wave of Necron bits. :)

Things are moving along nicely with my freelance painter.

We just established the colour scheme for bases and the trio of Pylons is now done.

Have to say i am very happy with how the commission works out so far and i recommend any UK based player interested in painting commissions to have a look at the fantastic work of David aka Vidpui!

Really good service, great communication, tons of updates through his Instagram feed and he captured my vision of the army spot on.

Destroyers and Tomb Spiders are next. :)

Pictures by Vidpui with my mark-up.

Are those LED lights on the Pylons or just really cool painting?

No LED, skillz only. 8)

Here's the latest WIP update from Vidpui.

Next step for me is to build/convert a C'Tan and 6 more Monolith.

After that my latest bitz orders should be with me to allow for objectives to be build.
Can't wait to see if my ideas work out. :)

Not sure how interesting this is but here's the mood board for the colour scheme i provided to the painter in the pre-production stage. On top of that i directed on white heads and shoulders for infantry as a contrast colour, as well as the classic black & green for weapons across the whole army.

Received an WIP army shot of the painter today.

Also got some details of the infantry and really happy about how the Flayed ones turned out.

Can't wait for the commission to be done. Will take detail shots when i have the miniatures back.
