A Forge world shadowsword - its OK as a model but not a good IMHO as some of the alternatives available, see earlier pictures a few pages back.

Size comparison shot.

SHT regiment (3 companies - not sure if SHT are actually formed into formations larger than a company)

and finally - merry christmas to everybody and your familes, i am off to get drunk with the lads.

Any chance you can re-stage these with a ruler or two in shot?

A quick group shot - i think this army is all but done, couple of minor things to finish. should be able to concentrate on orks now.

This bunch took me most of 2011 to complete and my thanks to certain forum based mammals for the help in aquiring models.

Great stuff Luca. What size points wise does that army come to? Are you fielding it mainly as SL or Minervan?

Cheers

James

Cheers james - a quick mock up using armyforge SL list gives a PV of 7250, but i have at least motorised infantry company to finish and a unit of rough riders.

on another note, just re-read Red Phoenix by Larry Bond, a great read and a tad topical. Hopefully the new NK leader wont have any similar ideas.

Mate,

Great looking army you have there. Looking forward to seeing your Orks take shape.

A small orky update - work has been getting in the way of painting. Here we have some old ork vehicles, i think (first released) early to mid 1990's if my memory is correct.

I love those Mekboy Speedsters!

Unrelated note to self - see if the Otter will sculpt some Orc Hot Rods.

Great paintjob, and lovely detail - like all those rivets. I particularly love the look of the wheels on those Spleenrippas.

Long time since I have posted and finished a model but the following managed to distract me from the ongoing ork project.

The temptation of chaos has been in effect, but for the mean time can anybody suggest or point me towards a epic thousand sons paint scheme? I have a few ideas, but nothing firm as yet.

Wow Luca
excellent stuff here
your groupshot is very sexy

Is it desert yellow with a devian mud wash?

The Orks look also very very nice
Its not my Army but nicely painted Orks are always a pleasure

Thanks for sharing

Cheers ulric - you guessed right. GW desert yellow (slightly thinned) with a wash of devlan mud. Reckon I have used 3/4 of pot of yellow at at least 90% of the wash so far.

depending on the wash or the model some highlight with a mix of white and desert yellow. Now back to orcs...or maybe chaos..
