Any idea on how to do proper flying bases, or to be more specific how the fix the rod on the base so that it stays for good? I though of drilling the base and using some greenstuff to fix it but maybe some of you have a better/ easier idea!

Some progress has been made this weekend with the finished Destroyer proxies and another excellent proxy.





2 more of the robot spiders are on the way and also the pariah proxies are in preparation.

Thanks for the kind words! They help motivate and heres the product of that:

Finished the infantry upgrades and with the completion of the hover bugs and the edenite warriors. Maybe some immortal proxies are still needed but for now the infantry is done.





Also the first of the frustrum monstrosities is finished. Not totally convinced with the look of it, might add another metal layer with the next one.



First game with the robots is also on the horizon, yeah!

The bases are made with beach sand, painted desert yellow and a bleached bone drybrush. Those rocks are basically just compressed sand that I found in my "sand-jar". Dont know if they were always in there when I filled it or maybe just formed when the sand was drying in the jar.

Also another update after the weekend:

and also managed to magnetize the pylon and finish painting the base:


It seems that the matt varnish darkens boltgun metal alot more than the mithril silver thats why the highlights look soo extreme. Gonna work over that again as it just looks to harsh.

Still have no clue how to make the CTan but I am sure some warmaster mini will fit.

What are you using to "levitate" your floating tanks? I'm having a hard time with mine...Course I use 1.5mm bases so pinning is not really an option.
