I'm band from letting my son see these minis, ever. Even after ever... this is probably a good thing.

I like this set of minis far better than the plastic dross GW are fobbing the 40K fanboys off with lately. I suppose though that the plastic kits are handy to use for parts on other stuff but they just don't look as good IMO.

I've got the old Epic Fulgrim (unpainted) but I also have one of the snake tailed Warmaster Greater Daemons and some of the Characters too. The Greater Daemon is excellent for Epic... slightly bigger but suits my purposes and the Characters can be Daemon Princes. Warmaster Daemonettes are perfect for Epic Daemonettes too (You have to cut them up a bit which is a pain but do-able).

I agree with the newer kits. I have a set or two of the older ones, and another set that seems to be missing arms, and the newer sculpts have nothing on these. I'm slightly afraid of what GW is going to excrete for the Seekers of Slaanesh.

Oh, and this thread seems to be missing something. Why no War Engines?

Oh, I thought I had attached the thread for my Slaanesh Warengines earlier but must have forgot. Here they are. I have more painted now than is shown in the thread and the Alter of Slaanesh (A Greater Daemon Engine in NetEpic) was entered in EpiComp08.

There will be a battle report with these Slaanesh units posted this week, when I get the time to muck about with all the pics.

Jim... I think Pendraken 10mm will be better for the Raupe N'Schlepp Er. They don't have the RSO but I believe 1/285 from GHQ will be far to small. I think I would go for the SdKfz 11 from Pendraken instead.

I have a box of the older metal models like the one you posted. Juan Diaz is the sculpter. Oh man are they so much better than those weird plastic ones.

I've been trying to get my hands on the mounted Diaz versions but no joy. Too damned expensive off Ebay!

Whoa! These are some lovely models. Thanks Erik I hadn't seen these before and thankfully I haven't spent any money yet. This will be added to my favourites list... I especially like the Sdkfz 251/1 and variants. I would love to start a WWII army but cant afford it just now... besides, no room to store it.

I think your right, the scale would be better. I was resigned before but this is better. I love the SdKfz 11. It's a versatile unit. Thanks for keeping me in mind.

Pithead might be even better. Or maybe Minifigs, even they say they're 12mm.
10mm & 12mm (N-scale) seem to be very mixed up.
