Is the whole thing going to bright red? As in all honesty i think that would ruin it. THe paintjob on the head does look good though; nice clean technique and the wash works very well; I would suggest doing the body in either that classic dark metal reminiscent of the great gargant from E40k days OR (if it suits yr army) a black Goff look.  But you never know; red might suprise me!
Keep up the good work!

Hi,
Nope, it will be dark gray/black, with the lines in gold. Only the panels (raised ones) will be dark red, I thought to do it like the GW great gargant painting.
Black goff is the look for me :).
Thanks,
Eyal.

Hi,
I started painting the details on the thing. Started with painting the panel stripes in golden tone mixed from shining gold and black. Next the panels that will be painted red were painted in a light gray color as a base.
It still look bad but I hope in time it will get better and less toyish. Especially after the washing and weathering.

It started to look a bit better when the white details were added, but still a long way to go..

.

Eyal.

I think the weathering etc will help like you say.

Looks great Eyal! :))

Even though it's a smelly Goff Gargant, the paint is coming along nicely.  Using the raised panels for your accent color is a great way to go.

Good looking stuff. I would wash the red a bit more to make it look dirtier, but other than that it's coming along nicely.

Thank you very much everybody :),
Yep it looks toyish right now, but I hope that after some washes and weathering it will turn out better..
Cheers,
Eyal :)

Hi,
I finished the painting, added some details such as the pipes on the back, the white markings, ETC.
The black panels were lightly drybrushed in gray, so to separate them from each other.

Next the golden panels were washed in black acrylics and water to fade them and make them dirty. When dry, I mixed a filter of raw umber oil paint and white spirits, and brushed the entire model. This is similar to a wash, but with less color and the intention is to dirty the base color and make it weathered, also change the tone of it.

The pictures are unfortunately not so good, but in real life the effect can be seen.

When it is done I hope to take much better pictures, so you can see. I think it is the black background and the black model. usually with light models the photo is ok..

Anyways thank you as always for watching, hope to hear your critique.

Eyal.

I just can't get over just how much detail is on this. Great work Brax. So, how many more still to be done to complete your Big Mob?
