Vaaish - I resized the waist and added bits and stuff but just couldn't get it to fit with the balance of the model overall and so decided it looked best as it is now.

ah ok. It didn't necessarily need the actual greebly bit of the waist to be larger, but even pulling the armor plading down a bit lower so it partially covers it can make the waist feel more sturdy.

Oh... Cool.
Thanks for the link. I zoned out a bit over the last 15 pages or so :p

Looking great. I'm just worried that the missile launchers are too big to fit in the carapace hardpoint?

Amazing work Jonluke.

Can't wait to see how these look alongside small and medium walking robots.

Cheers

James

That's an ArmorCast cannon for the vehicles they cast.

In case I didn't mention it (which is entirely likely) I've now sent the CAD drawings off for printing in the USA and eagerly await their arrival as physical objects.
I'll post pics up as soon as I get the bits back but it does mean no updates on this project for a bit.
Meanwhile I've begun a new project: http://www.tacticalwargames.net/forums....y356051
and shall be keeping that updated as I go just like I did here.
Also, small pieces will be added to this in the future, I plan on making a kit for Carapace multilasers, interior detailing and I shall be sculpting a Non-ordered Variant using one of the casts as a master.
Thanks for all the feedback and commentary along the way, I hope everyone is happy with the model I produce.
Cheers.
Jon

Good news and bad news:
I've recieved a package full of wonderful pieces of translucent blue Robot pieces, and they look fantastic, the quality is brilliant, a little work smoothing flat areas and they'll be ready to cast.
However, there are 2 pieces missing from the collection, the barrel of the Velcro Cannon (I could have lived with that and replaced it later as it's not an integral part of the model) and the right hip (unfortunately a serious chunk of the model and vital to construct a complete Robot).
I'll take pics of what I've got as soon as I've sorted getting the missing pieces.

somewhere there is a mailman grinning ear to ear with 2 parts for a robot.  I wonder where the other pieces are?

I've contacted the printing company and they are reprinting them asap, they think the large number of pieces in a single file is what has caused the problem.
I'll post pics now.

Wow - I didn't realize this sucker was going to be that big.  It is going to be pretty impressive on the table top.
