My one gaming pard, got hired by GW US and moved there in the mid '90s ... That's where I got some of my cool stuff !  There is a pic of of the original proto-type  DROPSHIP, that Bob Naismith (the sculptor of DRM & E/W, IIRC ?) did. I think I have the pics saved ?  Then they later did an Archive Release of another Dropship (Mk.2 ?), I have two Mk.2s (from my Mole at G/W US) , and have posted pics before ... :)

Oh yeah. The coffin with the giant aquila. I've lost the link to that page. Could someone post that or the pic of the model? I've been toying a it with the idea of building my own at some point.

Probably my lousiest pics ever...
I dropped my camera on the floor so now it's off to be repaired. I don't even dare think how much that is going to cost me.... stupid... ?:angry:

Anyway I had to use my webcam for these rather horrible pics.

Inspired by L4's models I've been meaning to build a Sabre Tank Hunter for a ?while. I suppose it requires a bit of explaining as the pictures doesn't really help much...
Fairly simple conversion really: IG lasgun glued to one rhino front door. Add a few armour plates to the sides ands a couple of FW brass Imperial eagles and voila. Can be done in 5 minutes. :;):

Quite possibly. The model is clearly made after the concept sketches in the 1st ed. Codex Titanicus.

From what I remember from the Horus Heresy novels the Stormbirds were described as faster and sleeker, albeit much larger, then the Thunderhawks designed to replace them.  I think it was Abnett who described them as being shaped like an arrowhead.
