Alrighty. Time for an update.

First of all I've been busy today painting up the minis for the Exodus Wars January release. Unfortunately the parcel containing the December and January models got delayed in the mail so I only recieved them about a week ago. The December models will be painted up sometime in January and go up on the website as well. However since I assume both Tom and I will be incapacitated most of January 1st I figured I might as well give you a sneak peak.

First up are the Gladius IFV
These are fairly small models about 1X2.5 cm but I think they could make excellent land transporter proxies for the LATD list. There's 10 models to a pack and it comes with enough turrets to make either 10 Laser cannon or Grenade Launcher variants.

I'm not too hot on the wheels of ?these models which I think could be more detailed. However the turrets are really nice and the fact that you get a surplus is great news for any well stocked bitz box.

I think these must be  my favourite EW models to date. Although they still need the basing and touching up on a few minor details I think you must agree:

And now for something completely different...

Progres on the Zeppelin: I've begun adding armor plating to the underside of the beast. This is proving more tricky than I expected due to the many slight curves on the model. Still I've quite hapy with the result so far. I stil haven't quite figured out how to built the gondola but I guess I'll end up making something from plasticard...

Also and idea for a Nurgle warhound has been mes?sing up my head recently. The idea was to make it look sorta like a giant fly (...and for some reason I can't help but humming "Superfly" by Curtis Mayfield while working on this...).
I'm not completely sure about the mouth though. It makes it look a bit Slaaneshi IMO so I might have to alter it slightly. Still a lot of work to do but I think it is coming along more or less as planned.

Finally I'm also on a bit of a tight schedule to get those last Chaos units ready for Fanatic. Here's a WIP of a Daemonete unit. It started out alright but after the shading I'm afraid it has turned out a bit too pink to my taste.

Looks like great work Warmaster!

Any chance we could get a comparison shot of the Gladius with something like a Rhino?  1cm wide seems REALLY small.

BTW I agree about the Nurgle Warhound.  The fly idea sounds good, but turns out looking Slaaneshi.  Boy would it make a great Slaanesh Warhound though!

Very nice work all round mate.

Like the 3 tone camo on teh EW stuff & as ever the window effects are top notch.

I had been wondering who Fanatic had got doing the Chaos stuff, if indeed they were getting new bits painted. Do you thus know if they're finally releasing the dreds & bikes I painted years back, as I desperately want get a pack & take a shot to improve on what I did back then!

How did you do the plating on the dirigible? Foil with pounce wheel?

And good painting, too. Well done!

AFAIK it is only the Infantry spure. They'll probably be snapping new pics o the infantry for the online store as I was only asked to paint up the exact contents of 1 spure.
