Great job on your Chaos army, I really like how you have done the Cannons. The skull on your titan looks cool, the blood dripping down the leg is so Khorne, I can't wait to see your Orks.

Thanks Damonx! Sadly, I still haven't started on the Orks! One day...

Meantime, here's a few pics of my week's painting. Hope you all like the Minotaur lipstick nappies!

Neat painting! I suppose the lack of shading and bare bases is an Old School homage?

Yes, and laziness. :D

Oh, and because every time I tried to shade I messed up the minis. I did use the washes which is a step up from what I used to do (hard to believe, I know). I'm going to need to watch the tutorial Primarch has put me on to for more tips.

The bases will be painted the usual Goblin Green (I refuse to use Giant W**kers new name for the paint) once I'm done with them. I did try to flock the hell out of the bases some years ago but was less than impressed with the results, which I know is completely down to my own inept skills.

For me, what I've achieved with this army is nothing short of miraculous. Compared to some of the work on this forum, I know it is somewhere short of mediocre!

There's a new name? :wah

I actually did not play any of the older epicses. Too busy with Barbie scale Grimdark back when. Bought the first minis in hmmm... 97? So I am not really in the know about this net epic thing. Seems to be more nostalgia-styled armies there.

Just this once: It's called Skarsnik Green. Or did you mean GW? ;)

NetEpic is essentially Epic edition #2 but with rules improvements by the online community. I'm guessing you started out on the ill-fated Epic 40,000 which was the edition that replaced 2nd edition Epic? Anyway, that's the system I've loved for close to 20 years and it's hard for me to change. No doubt, most NetEpic players are the same and using the same forces they bought all those years ago, so this would explain the nostalgia.

BUT... today I've met up with a friend I hadn't seen for a while. I think that we may give E:A a go. My regular opponent is not for learning a new ruleset, so fear not NetEpic lovers, I still intend to fly the flag! Only now I'll have 2 games to play for the price of 1!

Short update:

I painted up my Edenite Jump Troopers which I bought from Exodus Wars as proxies for Khorne Bezerkers. I'm chuffed that they fit in perfectly:

For anyone interested, this is where you can get these fellows from:

http://www.exoduswars.com/Edenite-Jump- ... rchSize=12

EDIT: I was remiss earlier in not thanking Blip for suggesting that I try these out in place of GW minis. Cheers for the tip off, as you can see it worked it perfectly!

Thanks chaps, appreciate the kind words!

And yes Dogtrooper, I hope to make that mountain of skulls grow even larger!

Skulls for World Eaters are a bit like Pokemon cards for kids; gotta kill 'em all!

I enjoyed a nice bit of win on Ebay the other day to boost my Khorne army. The paint job is pretty good but I intend to add a few extra touches in due course (I have other projects in the works first).
