The army looks great. I like how it is looking.

I like the Baneblades paintjobs too. Its a nice model and I've always been a sucker for superheavies!

I just had a thought - when I did one of my OGREs in a snow cam scheme years ago, I used some stuff to model snow build ups, and some santa snow ontop of some foliage lashed down on the upper decks. It looked really effective.
You may want to do something like that for your Commander. Just a thought

Quote (Chris @ 13 2004 Oct.,18:29) | Storm that pic of the whole force looks ace! What else have you got to paint up and add to it (I'm guessing you don't have all the models you want to have in the army) | Lots of stuff...
-A few titans (well seven actually ) -Loads of Chimeras + infantry, commanders etc -Ogryns and other 'special' infantry -Artillery company (coming up next) -Hydras and Thunderbolts -Destroyer tank hunters
Thats most of the current boxes.... but after all this is finished, I'll be getting a company of Stormblades, another Russ company, some Sentinels, the FW tanks I havn't got, Leviathan and CI (If I can track them down), more infantry and more flyers.

Still feeling ill, so tommorow will be even more painting time! - I'll make a start on the Arty company.

Thats a nice lineup of units you have planned. Dont forget your friends in the Imperial navy, those steadfast lads can be quite handy!

Amazing stuff. I've never realized how nice Snow camo looks.
This got me thinnking: How about doing a Camo library where people can submit pics of various camo shemes they've used for their models? Combined with a few words on how they've done it, it could be a really nice resource for new guard players to check out!
Cheers!

Sounds an excellent idea! (possibly for Incoming!)?
I'd be happy to contribute pics & some guidelines...

I'll start a new topic where people can make contributions and then we can assemble it into an article for Incoming. Let's let it roll for a month or two and then make the article ready for the Christmas edition of Incoming.
Cheers!

O.K., generally winter camo was just "white wash", painted over the entire vehicle or over certain areas. That's the way it was usually done in WWII and we did the same in Korea. ?Just painted thinned lime, (white wash) over the vehicle. Come spring ... just scrub it off. ? I did some WWII models like that in my youth (!). ?Simple ... yes ! ?So just paint your model in whatever camo scheme and white wash it !

Yeah... I imagine Valhallan vehicles (and those from other ice world forces) to be permanently in their 'winter coat' however, as they are specialised for operations in winter environments.
There are a couple of examples in the Imperial Armour book of 'whitewashed' tanks.. You must get a copy if you havn't already L4!

I have been looking at that and contemplating, but then thinking that the $ is better spent on minis!
It does look ncie but its a lot of money when you dont play 40k and dont want the game stats.
