Tuff, the models you have up are cool! I hope the hired painting works out for you. I am looking forward to some more pages being put up on the site...
The CI looks damn nice, I wish I could afford one. I might as well wait for the new one.
Cheers
Chris

Thanks Chris!
The Hired painting is going OK thanks. I guess the fact that I've only recently had time to put down the brushes & start making a site has to be a good sign! My one worry is that all of my recent customers (with Doug as the exception) have been from my local club(s) where people can actually see my work.
I'm not a good photographer and anyone from further afield who's interested will only have the photos to go on. I'll have to wait and see whether I get any interest through the site. At any rate, its a good place to start displaying some of my collections in other scales which normally just sit in my case and only get seen by me & maybe 3 other gamers!
Of course the real downside is that its taking me away from AoFK, but at the moment I have to go where the is

Yeah, I've been around, just very, very busy. But, I'm building again. Right now I'm working on an Orky type stealth bomber. Mostly for fun and to get back into the swing of it.

Nah, it's all a matter of perspective. Orky stealth is a significant stumble forward in mechboy tech. It will revelutionize Ork combat as we know it. Or it will look really cool when it blowz'up. meng

In fairness, it was probably a Mekboy mistake. "Oi! Squiblet! letz make a big hulkin' Gun to blow dem Hummiez up wiv" "Good idea boss" *two days of smashin, bashin & crashin follows* "Umm.... Boss, it ain't looking much like supa gun yet, wats da plan?" "Itz comin on fine Squiblet, Shut up and nail dat wing, umm, fin thing on now....." "wat eva you sayz boss..." *a further week passes by* "Datz it! Done! ight Squiblet, you flik da switch and we'z got ourself a supa gun" *switch flicked* "Umm, boss... Why'd half da gun dissapear?" "Wat do you fink I am, squiblet, a mekanik?" "Well, yez Boss..." "Shut up & see what the other buttons do" *Squiblet was never seen again, dissapearing into the distance in the Ork's first, fastest (and almost certainly last...) Stealth aircraft. To this day Da Boss claims He built the biggest gun, with the loudest bang, in the Waaagh but blaims squiblet for stealing it*
Ahem, I dont know where that came from... I got a picture in my head and started typing. ho hum..... ?
Anyway, the reason I was going to reply was to say I've added 3 pics of my latest titan to my Workbench if anyone wants to take a look. Its pretty similar to the previous one, but it goes to show that I'm stil working on epic stuff when I can ?

LOL, I dunno about that. i guess this is just my version of the universal "Brain fart". I have a hyper active imagination and if I once get an image running through my head, I'm off. However, calling them up on demand is another thing!
Mind you, the fact that I've spent half the day inhaling paint striping fumes probably helped
I'm forever writing odd bits. Most of it isnt comic strip material though, as Cybershadow will testify - The AoFK background is a way off "comic".....

...An other cool Titan Tuffskull.. I like the chainsaw.. but personally I think that you could improve your titans a little by using a wider colour palette- this one does seem very "grey" if you know what I mean- perhaps just a small leg marking or colour banding...? Hmmm... Anyway, just my thoughts.. its all up to you I guess..

Anyway, just my thoughts.. its all up to you I guess.. | As I have mentioned before, all my titans start off life very bland and boring.
My titans have to earn their honour markings & will have them added as & when they are used inbattle and come out victorious. If they play a big role in a battle, an armour plate will have honour markings added to it to show its achievements. It gives the big machines far more character as it literally records their achievements throughout a campaign.
I also sometimes go the other way & those that get beaten up on a regular basis wil be attacked with a scalpel and have damage added. My FW reaver is one of my next projects and haas already had some damage done through sucessive losses in E:A playtesting.
All my Old & new Steel Monolith titans are being painted/re-painted in "fresh" colours, in preparation for starting to game again when E:A is released. At that point they will start to get more colourful, but until then, they havent earnt their stripes so they're not getting any !

Thats great Tuff, though I doubt I would have the moral fortitude to repaint them and erase allt heir previous history.
I used to do this with my 15mm Colonial figs (I may have mentioned this before) but only did it the once with an Epic Fig. Like you, it was a titan and after he destroyed an enemy Greater Demon in Close Combat, he was awarded a purity seal to commemerote the event (after subsequent rededication and purification of course).
I wish I played enough games to have to confidently give them no colours to start with! Looking forward to seeing your Titan brood again in 12 months!
