erugh i just wrote out a reply and then somehow lost it (closed tab? posted in another thread? eaten by board? no idea!)

Anyway, thanks for the comments all!

that must have taken a few to sculpt

I actually tried to keep the sculpting to a minimum, it's mostly the GW mini still under there, but skinned over in places. I wrote out a post with a bit more detail, then lost it, then realised i had some WIP pictures anyway. Here's the progression (albeit mostly in heavy compressed phone pics):

How long does it take you do paint just the base?

For that mini, in the area of half an hour i'd guess (i normally do it in batches and with no OSL, so much faster per stand then). It's probably the most efficient part in terms of time taken vs result, the rest is slow but the base is a fast treat at the end to finish with. OSL is blocked on in 3 drybrushes. The lava colours I can glaze on pretty fast having done it so many times, just have to wait a minute or two for it to dry between colours.

Epic, that is Apoc! Or rather Apoc, that is epic!

You did not mold it, did you?

Well was looking at this earlier then turned my phone off and sulked for a while

I know your good at sculpting and scratch builds apoc but this is one of the best it actually looks better at 6mm than the 40k version also the paint really makes it pop

Nice work I'll only need 2 ))
