Jon,

As usual, very impressive work. I am very much looking forward to seeing the finished product.

Cheers

It's good. Real good. Why plasma weapons so appealing?

Don`t know. Perhabs because they represent primordial power? At least they use the power of a sun.

Here's a 2D scaled down Quack (Quark? which do people prefer?) barrel:

Quack-cannon sounds good   And the size looks good as well. I take it you're modelling this pretty much after the plastic warlord quack-cannon?

Pretty much, the more modern quack cannons are far too flimsy and weak.
I know the old version is not a universally popular design, but I think it is the epitome of Large Robot Weaponry, so it stays.
The Garage Missile Launcher is also going to closely resemble the original when I finally get around to making it.

Beautiful... The plasma looks awesome, YAY for rotatable barrels :p

The quack cannon is looking great too. It needs a massive drum feed at the base though  :)

Plasmalicious! That looks great. If I have to be overly critical the only thing that irks me slightly is something about the head. I'm not completely sure. Maybe it could be moved down ever so slightly (without modifying any of he surrounding armor of course). Or maybe it is just me.

Now that is a damn impressive piece of kit. I would like to flesh out a new Legion with some. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the weapons take shape, and I concur with the Warmaster, the head is not sitting right with me either. It is odd compared to the rest of the model.

Cheers
Cal

awsomness !! you know what would just MAKE that uhm.. quak cannon ? some kinda ammo feed or shell crane for loading, it would just do wonders for my suspension of disbelief.    :) always had a problem with the set up of the cannons on the old warlord and imperator models, "how DO they load that thing ??"

yummy!!! :O

For the record I prefer the bigger bore Quack cannon.

I too think the head looks a little odd, it's one of those things you could learn to love but what it is that bothers is sort of hard to put a finger on. My suggestion would be to try recessing it into the hood a bit further. From the angle you've just shown us the head appears to be roughly an equal distance from the core of the torso as the height from the waist which might make it look a little overly hunched.

Please dont take any criticism from that though as frankly I would have this things babies. I'm just trying to offer some constructive comments.

BTW how big are those main weapons in comparisom to a SG warlord? I'm guessing they would look outlandishly big on one?

Can we get some shots with the other head you did earlier on? The boxy one that looked funky :)
