Cheers guys :)
The wash on the white areas of the tank are just diluted GW Devlan Mud over white.
The Woodland Scenics pigments are already liquid and can be diluted with water.

First tank is finished (turret isn't glued on though as per owner's instructions).

Hmmm. There are areas I quite like on this and areas I don't think work as well. I like the idea of doing a white tank since it looks quite striking on the table. I think that there is too much red on the sides. Having just the panels in red would have been enough red there I think.

I also think you need more contrast in the white areas, just a bit heavier wash or more layers of the wash specifically targeting the recesses would really make it pop. You also seem to have a pretty bad mold line around the turret there. Overall, I think you've done a nice job on it.

One thing I might mention on them is I found when doing mine the heavy bolters on the sponsons stuch out at an odd angle. I ended up applying pressure to the base of the HB to bend it to face more forward. I think it improves the look a bit and keeps them from snagging or wearing as much as they do straight out.

Regarding the red, that is by my request. The fluff for my war machines are for a light factory world called Ares (get it?), that has a heavily oxidized surface with frequent massive snowstorms. The heavier equipment has an electrochemical camouflage coating with red and white settings. Besides the "all white" and "all red" settings, different patterns are codes to infantry for advance, air support, etc. in a heavy EW environment.

Edit - Bravo, sir.

That looks really sharp and really brings the detail/quality of the sculpt out. Reading some of GHQ painting tips got it into my head that lighter colors look more appropriate in the smaller scales, I have been finding this to be true. A whole army would look terrific.
