Not sure yet, actually. I just figured that it was something I wanted to do. Did you have any suggestions?
(Particularly for ones with plasma cannons - I think I can trim the gun off some Demolishers I picked up and mount them onto the Trolls turrets without too much problem, but I'm at a loss for what to do for the sponsons).

In case anyone wants to see how they look painted up, here is one I did recently.

I am planning on doing exactly the opposite ;D , I have plenty of plasma turrets but I need Demo's.

Sponsons: I plan just to cut off the heavy bolters and either rearrange them (closer to the hull) or scratch build some guns.

Hey, what's your source mini for the plasma cannons? I haven't found one I like yet that would work with my current conversion plan.

The same guys just released a demolisher and a annihilator variant of their "battle tank". Might get some annihilators, already have enough demolishers.

Unfortunately, the sponsons still come with heavy bolters. Paint them like your plasma weapons, I guess.

What I need are Exterminators. Fortunately they look pretty similar to Annihilators at this scale.

Is it too risky to put these guys in the 6mm Proxies thread?

Hi!

Looks good!

I'd leave them in this thread though. :)

Are there even Leman Russ Annihilators in E:A? If not, I might not bother with modifications. I'm a little worried that I'll screw up. What did the gun barrels on the FW Exterminators look like?

There's no lists with them. OTOH they work perfectly fine counts-as a regular Leman Russ (say in SL where it's a LR or the single Vanquisher in each company). FW never made an Exterminator in 6mm so in actuality, they work great as stand-ins for them in lists like the Minervan Tank Legion where they are included (and damn useful), and as you said, don't look too terribly different. In fact, I used to take 3rd edition predator turrets and kitbash them with my Russes to make exactly that. These might see some use so that I can keep visual distinction between tanks (I don't like my companies to be too uniform looking).

Apparently it's in the works, I asked them on FB if they had considered doing seperate sponsons/turrets and got the reply

Hi! The sponsons upgrade pack is in the working progress (plasma, melta, flamer types). And the plasma turret will be probably another LR type.

Good to know. I was excited when I saw the Annihilator and Demolisher on their site but was disappointed to find that they hadn't solved my sponson problem. Patience is a virtue, I guess :D

Ooh, we'll have Executioners in time for them to not be part of the AdMech PDF list anymore.

Without sponsons, this Demolisher model is really close to looking like a Conqueror. Just needs a short, small-diameter barrel extension and it's perfect. Heck, it's close enough to working without modification.

I picked up some of these miniatures, I have to say they are amazing. Really pleased they are doing more variants too.
